Have you had a Transvaginal Mesh procedure that has had complications? If so, you are not alone. Over 200,000 women have had this procedure so far and there are around 40,000 lawsuits because of the complications of this procedure. Millions of women in the U.S. are suffering because of the weakening of the pelvic floor muscles. Weakening of these muscles is generally caused by childbirth and aging but there are other causes. Transvaginal Mesh is supposed to help treat Pelvic Organ Prolapse or SUI (Stress Urinary Incontinence) which can be very painful and embarrassing.

Erosion is the most serious complication from transvaginal mesh surgery. The mesh can gradually move through the vaginal wall and possibly into surrounding organs. If this happens you could have many additional surgeries to fix this problem. You could get Organ Perforation as well. Organ perforation can happen when one of the sharp edges of the mesh cut or puncture through tissues and into other surrounding organs, such as the bladder or the bowel. These are very serious complications and if this has happened to you or a loved one you should speak up about it. Doctors are using these transvaginal mesh kits, and have been for a while now, without them being fully tested through the FDA. The FDA approved these kits by comparing them to something similar from the past. There were no experiments using transvaginal mesh kits before they were put on the market. Below is a list of complications that can occur from this transvaginal implant:

  • Erosion into the bowel or bladder
  • Serious infection
  • Painful intercourse
  • Excessive and ongoing vaginal discharge and/or drainage
  • Vaginal scarring and shortening
  • Skin breakage
  • Vaginal bleeding
  • Vaginal shrinkage
  • Protrusion of the device

You thought that this transvaginal mesh was the answer to your problems but you were wrong. It’s not your fault though. You were told that this procedure was safe, effective, the answers to all of your prayers. Unfortunately you were lied to. The fact that these mesh kits weren’t even tested before the FDA approved them is sickening. It shows that the FDA and the transvaginal mesh company are all about the money, not your well-being. You have a right to fight back; this is your life we are talking about. You deserve to have the quality of life that you once had.

This is not a safe procedure to have done, these kits are not safe! It’s so sad that we can no longer trust our own doctors to prescribe us anything. It’s all about that money and not about our well-being. Shame on those doctors and drug companies, it’s time they pay up. Your doctors are making so much money that they could care less about you and what they are prescribing and same goes for the drug companies. The only way they would care is if something bad happened to someone they love due to Transvaginal Mesh. How unfortunate that you are the victim of such a horribly done procedure. Do not let these companies get away with this, be proactive and help put a stop to it. Help to save other women from doing the same thing you did.
